Debate Discussion - taking a stand on an argument
We had a great time this morning debating different topics. We learned that to have a good argument you need to base your points on facts and information, talking with peers creates better ideas, it is important to be prepared, expanding and using your background knowledge helps support a point, be confident, believe in what you are saying, and finally you have to listen to what the other side is saying so you have a good rebuttal. Leave a comment but remember to be polite, read and think it over before posting and check for the givens. Topic: Television makes people violent and lazy. Be sure to have reasons and facts to back up your opinion.
