I have been enjoying art in school lately because it is something new that I have never tried before. We have been painting wooden fish. Something challenging for me has been challenging for me is art because it is very difficult to make straight lines and make the shape you want to make. I have taken ownership in my learning in socials because I have been taking notes on living on one dollar on my own time. Something I have been looking forward to in my learning is the finishing product of our wooden fish.

I am enjoying our fish art. I can't wait to see our finished fish on the fence! I have also enjoyed doing the Gift of Words. It's so interesting to hear all the descriptive language in other students' books.

Lately, I have been enjoying our fish art. It has been very fun and I am glad we got to do our own designs and were able to be creative. I think that they are all going to look awesome on our fence. Something I have found challenging lately is my speech. Creating my outline was challenging because you really have to think about what your audience wants to hear. I am in the process of making my speech more alluring so my topic sounds fun and exciting. Ownership that I have been taking for my learning is I have studied for our math quiz so I would do well, I have practiced my french so I would be less nervous during my presentation, and I have completed and marked all of my math homework. (Resulting in a great mark on my math quiz.) In my learning, I am looking forward to doing further research in an area in socials. I have taken a few of the topics into my consideration including food, budgeting, and an a couple others. Although, I am not sure yet which one I will choose.

One thing that I have been enjoying in school lately was doing our Aboriginal fish art. I really enjoyed it because it's cool learning how to paint the aboriginal symbols. Something I found challenging was when we were painting our fish. It was hard to make the line super straight so I had to take my time and make sure I did them properly. I have taken ownership in my learning when we were studying for our test. I went back and looked at my previous worksheets and I looked in the math textbook.Something I'm looking forward to learn is in French we are going to start to do something with a French menu .

In school lately, I have been enjoying the fish art. I have been enjoying it because I have learn how to make neat and clean lines and edges, and I have learned how to have a contrast with the colours I use. I found the speeches challenging this so far, I found it difficult because I struggled to find a topic that had a message. I have taken ownership of my learning by studying for my math test and making sure I understood the unit so that I was completely prepared when I wrote the test. I have also taken ownership in my learning by completing my homework to the best of my abilities and handing them in at the right time. I'm looking forward to speech fest, and getting to hear all the speeches people have put their time and effort into.

At school, I have been enjoying our poverty unit because I didn't know much about poverty before but now, I have a clear understanding. For example: I didn't know that much about the causes of poverty but now I can give examples with details. Some things I have found challenging is our speeches. Because you really have to push your thinking on one specific topic and in my opinion, it's really difficult. Also, finding the subtopics is also hard, to me. What I have done to take ownership in my learning is in math, I make sure I know what I am doing by asking my peers questions or making sure I am on track and on task. I also am taking ownership of my learning because I make sure I am paying attention throughout school. I am looking forward to seeing an improvement in my learning. Although I feel like I have been improving, I am looking forward to seeing bigger improvements that show that I am taking ownership of my learning.

Lately I've been enjoying the poverty unit, the videos were so fascinating and it made my mind dig deeper with so many questions to ask. I've been finding my speech challenging because I'm not that satisfied with my topic, I've look at so many other topics but non of them really appealed to me. It's to late to go back now so I'll just have to do the best I can. Something I'm looking forward to see with my learning is my fish art once it's finished. I'm pretty proud of it so far, I've grown to like it. In the beginning I didn't really like my design, and I didn't really know what to do for it and I was quit stuck.

I have really been enjoying painting our wooden fish! Lately I have found the ratios, equivalent ratios and percents in our math really challenging. I have taken leadership in my learning when I studied for our poverty and old geometry quizzes. I am looking forward to putting our wooden fish on the fences!😄

I am enjoying our poverty unit this term, I found it very interesting that poverty could happen to any person, family or city and finding out why/how does it happen. What I have found challenging is the math unit for this term, ( ratios ) I think that I could get better if I just put my mind into it. I've been taking ownership for my learning by coming to school early to finish up homework or study on my math. What I am looking forward to in my learning is the paintings on my fish and trying to learn new strategies to make my painting cleaner or how I could improve.

I have been enjoying our fish art. I have really been enjoying it because we got to learn aboriginal shapes. I have been finding my fish art challenging because I can't get my base coat to look smooth. I am looking forward to seeing the end result of my fish art, and starting something new in French.

Something that I have been enjoying at school is art. Even if I am not good at art I still enjoy pointing except I like to take my time which doesn't go to well in school. The reason why I like art is because you don't have to think too much about as for other subjects you do and art is quite peacefully to just zone out and work. I haven't found anything to challenging yet in school except for making speeches because I am not that good in making a bunch of paragraphs and putting them all together. I am excited to see what we are learning in french because we are learning about restaurants and restaurants mean food and Mademoiselle Dy said that we would make something or eat something at the end of the term.

One thing that I have done to take ownership for my work is that I have been problem solving to get my homework done unless I can't find a way absolutely but I can usually just go to school early.

At school I have been enjoying doing our fish art. It is really cool being able to learn how the aboriginal people use such simple shapes to create an exquisite piece of art work. At the same time, we learn how to create it ourselves, how to make clean lines and many other things. One thing I found challenging was learning all the different math strategies when they all lead to the same answer. Some of them are kind of confusing and I prefer to just do the quick and easy version. I have taken ownership in my learning lately by asking if there was anything extra I could do in order to study for math. When I did this it showed that I wanted to do well and that I am willing to take the time to learn this. Not only to get a good grade but also because you need to know math through out your entire life. With my learning, I am looking forward to continuing on with our speeches. I enjoy learning about the format of a speech and the different types. It is great practice to read your speech to others for fluency and gaining confidence.

I have really enjoyed working on our fish art. I've seen them on the fences of other schools, but never given it some thought. During the drawing process of it, I was really intrigued by all the different symbols and shapes used in First Nations art. During the painting process, we learned how to paint clean lines by twirling the paintbrush. I'm looking forward to digging deeper in our Poverty unit. I find that learning about poverty is interesting. Mainly because we've answered a whole bunch of questions we've had in the past. Originally, I thought that poverty was caused by drug addicts or alcoholics. Turns out, there are many different causes of poverty.

What I had enjoyed in school was so far the fish art with having to paint on the wooden fish being quite hard because of needing the coat to be extra thick to be bright white. Also it was quite challenging with having to re-draw the shapes on the fish to get it on the right corrected spots. What I had taken ownership learning of was to study for the quiz and do Q-cards to help me memorize and to not forget. What I am looking for my learning is to be a little better at math because it was quite hard for me to understand very well.

In school so far, I've enjoyed doing our fish art because I also never tried it before and I think it's cool and difficult simultaneously. The thing that's hard about it is painting the designs in the fish. The easy part was the coating doing the pencil crayon version. What I had take ownership of my learning was practicing extra math with my parents every 2 days. What I am looking for my learning is to read lots more books.

I have been enjoying Aboriginal fish art in school lately because we never get to paint a wood piece and I never tried this kind of painting on a fish it is cool I am looking forward to putting our wooden fish on the fence!. The thing I found was challenging was the fish art again because we have to make straight and smooth lines on our fish. I am taking ownership of my speech to think deeper.

What I had really enjoyed is the fish art because I have never done art like this before. I think it is a very creative way doing art. What I found challenging was getting clean edges in my shapes. Everytime I was painting I messed up and the edges were messy. What I did to take ownership was for the speeches was researching a lot of times on my free time. I took 1 hour and researched every thing about my topic.

Something I've been enjoying in class is our fish art because I am the kind of person who like to draw and paint. Something I find challenging is math because when my math teacher answers my questions she make more complicated than it needs to be so I get confused. Somewhere where I took ownership of my learning is when I needed help on my math I would ask a classmate if they did that question and if they would help. Im looking forward to finishing our fish art because I think they would look pretty cool.
