Book Club Assignment # 3 Rights of a Child
Due Date: May 28th, 2013
What you have to do: Choose three of the children’s rights which your character does not have. For each right, give specific evidence from your novel that proves that he/she is being denied that right.
Criteria:
-at least 3 examples of denied children’s rights
-specific evidence from the story that demonstrates how the right is denied
-information presented in a clear, organized and interesting way
-Conventions: errors in spelling and grammar do not interfere with meaning
How you will earn your mark:
-Rights and evidence: details evidence from the story to show the character has at least three children’s rights denied: (10 marks)
-Presentation: Creative, 0rganized, categorized presentation of information: (5 marks)
-Conventions: no grammatical errors, you have proof-read before handing it in: (5 marks)
