Today we worked on our fall leads to our fall write. I was able to give all of you immediate feedback on how to improve your sentences. Some of you caught on very quickly and were revising your sentences before you shared them with me because you knew how and were to make improvements. Remember not to throw away your rough drafts and this is representative of the progress in learning. Please leave a comment about the what you learned from this type of feedback and listening to the feedback that was given to other students. Also, in what ways was this helpful?
Tonight: Study for your Math Test on Fractions Grade 7's see yesterdays post on your H.W. S.S. We had our first current event presented today. Thank you to Remember that the first part of our criteria is that the article is related to an important issue that you can discuss for 3-5 minutes and engages the class in a further discussion. Don't forget if you are presenting tomorrow. Be sure to check over that Green Current Events Handout, even that back page with the criteria.

I think its helpful because it helps me improve my writing by hearing students reading there's and relating to some of them so i can edit my writing to make it better.

I learned that this feedback was helpful because all of us can listen to others and get some ideas. Also this feedback makes you very brave and not shy to share your ideas. This feedback was helpful for peoples to improve their writings because I learned that my begging is very wordy and before I thought it was good. We should do this again and get some nice feedback...

I learned that when some one helps you with your writin and gives you feedback that it helps because someone is telling you what you need to add and maybe what you need to take away. This was helpful for me because I took away the filler when I was told that I had it. I hope we do this again to help all of us inprove are writing!

I think that listening to other students feedback and having oral advice was a lot better then just having it wrote down on our page. It helped me to better modify my writing.

I learned that you have to have a tie in to make a good lead. my lead was good but not that good as i was listening to other people i realized my lead was not strong enough so i changed it completely and then as other people read theres out loud and it was so helpful.

I learned that I needed to make a better tie in. This was very helpful because when somebody else reads your writing they might notice something you missed! Now I think my writing is better than before.

I didn't really learn to much from the read aloud in class, all I learned about tat day was that the lead needed to tie into the rest of the paragraph.

I learned that getting oral feedback is easier because if you have a question you can get it answered rather than have feedback you don't understand.

I learned that to have a lead needs a purpose to tell the reader what they will be reading

I learned that in the feedback I put to much. I just need the topic not every single part that does not make sense. While when other people were getting their feedback I noticed I had mistakes to.

This feedback was helpful because I was able to make my writing better with the leads and the descriptive language with the tie in. It was helpful to listen to the other students feedback so that I could correct my writing sentence.

I learned from the feedback that I needed to cut the filler and words that don't fit. It was helpful to hear other classmates feedback cause then I know what is expected and it gives me that extra boost.

I learned that a lead needs a tie that hooks the reader and why you are writing this. It helped me write a deeper lead for my Fall Write and make my writing have a purpose.

what i learned from the feedback ms.findlay gave me was that you can't just leave it the way it is because it might be screwed up so you should have a partner review it before you publish it so it's all good.

I learned that feedback is very useful and that it can help you write your thing better. When mrs Findlay gave me feedback I thought to myself and that she gave me alo't to think about . Plus I also learned that what a tie in is and it helped me write better that is what I think.

It helped me because listening to all the people before me and I realized that I had filler so i cut the filler and put the tie in and better language. I also found that most of the feedback was very positive in what I and others got back.
