It is a pretty powerful video with some vivid images and clips showing how the environment is being impacted by humans. What is one thing you learned today from the video. What is one one quote, phrase, or message that is worth remembering? What is a wondering you still have? |

One quote I remember is how they said that we are asteroid. A wondering I still have is why humans choose to ignore the problem. We are all going to suffer if all the animals go extinct, but all we can think about is what we are doing right now. In a way we are all setting ourselves up for a ruined life.

I enjoyed the part of the video that we watched so far! Something that got me really thinking for awhile was the same as cheesecake, ''Humans are the new astroid'' It got me thinking "How will the world be in a few years?, how will it look?, will most species be gone?"

The part I remembered that was really interesting was when it talked about humans being an astroid. I noticed a lot of people talked about this too because it really gets us thinking. I wonder why people are just ignoring the fact that species are going extict right infront of them and species are going extinct faster than they should. Us humans are using more energy and using gas for our cars which causes global warming. Global warming means polar bear habitats melt. Gas means more we breath in dirty air. Hopefully we finish the movie soon it is really interesting.

The one thing I learned today from watching the video was that we are the cause of everything because we realise co2 into the air and the ocean abserves it and that is bad. The massage is don't fill up the air with co2 and help the endangered animals so they don't get extinct.

The thing I learned was when we produce more and more carbon dioxide and it mixes up with water, the species live on the ocean and their habitats can be dissolved. The interesting message from the video was when they said that humans are new asteroids. I think they are trying to tell that humans will be the cause of the 6th mass extinction.

Watching that video today I learned that human activities are what causes animal extinction. I didn't really here any quotes or phrases. A wondering I still have is how asteroids would take out all/most of the dinosaurs.

I learned that when we release a bunch of carbon dioxide into the air it effects the ocean and destroys the fish and habitat.

I learned that even trying to save species from becoming extinct means that you're probably going to have to use a lot of fossil fuels. I didn't really have any quotes. I wonder how long until we become extinct or an animal that we all rely on become extinct.

Today I learned that whale sharks used to be caught and eaten in Isla Mujeres, Mexico, but now you can only swim with them.

The thing I leaned today is that the whale was almost extinct. A wondering I have is why don't people care about the environment.

One quote that made me think was "this is how humans are dealing with it, there not dealing with it" what I'm wondering is say we demolish the earths ecosystems, how would we survive without them?

I learned that people drive extinction faster that it should. I mean I knew that before but not at this extent. A quote I remember is "Its like were living in the age of dinosaurs but we can do something about it." I still wonder what will become of this planet in a 1000 years? Will there be nothing left?

One thing that I learned about the "Racing to Extinction" documentary we watched today was that the human race is driving extinction one thousand times faster than extinction naturally should be.

One thing I learnt from the documentary is that the more CO2 we put in the air the more it makes the oceans acidic and all the fishes skin can get harmed because of it. Another thing I learnt is that humans are making more animals go extinct than they are suppose to be. One part of the documentary I will never forget is when one of the people said,"We're like the asteroid that destroyed all the dinosaurs." It says humans are taking advantage of all the technology and other things in the world and they aren't thinking how it might effect other species. My question is similar to Tinker Bell's, what will happen if all the animals on earth went extinct? What would happen to all the humans on earth and how would we survive without those animals?

I learned that humans have a chance to save extinction. ]It is like the dinosaurs but we have a chance to save it. I also learned that carbon dioxide can lets say...destruction or break it down. I also also learned that you can actually swim with sharks.

Something I found interesting and learned about is, how the restaurant was selling an endangered species. It really made me think, why are trying to kill of species even faster? Whether they knew or not that the whale was endangered. A message I thought was interesting and made an impact on me was when they guy said, "We are the Earths asteroid." It really makes you think about how badly we are effecting the Earth, and what we can do to stop it. Something that I am wondering about is what projects or organizations we could join to help stop being the asteroid.

One thing that I found interesting was that we are dealing with this mass extinction that is happening right now by not dealing with it. This made me wonder how long this mass extinction has been going on, if no body has even bothered to tell anybody about it. Has this been going on since humankind ever came on the planet? Another wondering I had was that if this sixth mass extinction is something that we can fix in the near future?

One thing I remember is how some people just don't care that some of these species that will impact us in the future. For instance the whale that they were serving at that sushi restaurant, The restaurant might have known that the whale was endangered, though if I was the owner I would do some research, just to make sure. I wonder why people know what's going on in the environment, and then just ignore it,p, it's sorta shocking. Well hopefully we don't lose anymore of our beloved species.

Something I learned from the video, was that photographers sometimes capture moments in the ocean, forest, etc, because when those areas are not there anymore they can show people what places used to look like. One quote I remember, was: "We are living in the age of the dinosaurs, but we can do something about it."

What I learned from the video is that we are causing a mass extinction and nobody cares. Also, that they would sell whale at a restaurant that is endangered, and if they keep doing that the whale would be extinct. A wondering I have is why are they killing all these animals and making them endangered if they know they could become extinct?

What I learned is that humans are causing a mass extinction and people don't realize and it's happening very quick. And why would people kill endangered species when they know there endangered.

This is not really a quote but humanity is not dealing with the issue and if we don't fix it we will drive animals to extinction a thousand times faster, and we will lose 50% of species. That is something that catched my eye. I still wonder how we can bring more attention to people so they care?

I learned that a lot of people care cause I thought not many people cared I think it a good think that people do that cause that restaurant got shut down the thought that it's just a animal but what if people killed them and served them and there wasn't many humans
