So much to learn about all the different cultures represented in our classroom. I too have been learning lots, as each one of you shares your presentation. Don't forget to email me a link of your final project so that I have something to assess you on for SS. Leave a comment and describe with detail the most interesting thing you have learned about your own culture. What part of your culture are you still curious about? Well, the most interesting thing that I've learned about my culture is that before the currency was the U.S dollar, it was Colon. The interesting thing about this is that the reason it was called Colon was that that it was named after Cristobal Colon, known to us as Christopher Columbus. I still want to know why the colors of the flag are blue and white.

The most interesting thing I learned from my culture is that bangles and bhindi's use to represent if you were married. Well if you weren't married you wouldn't wear a bhindi. If your husband died you wouldn't war bangles. Also I still wonder why they did that? Was it because they didn't feel like talking about it?
