Tomorrow those students who are still at the rounding and shaping stage using the tools to perfect your piece of work will be given time tomorrow morning to work on it. This extra time is only for those students who need it not for any polishers or waxers.
Today for our Reading activity we focused on synthesizing and evaluation to find the Big Idea. It really makes you think about what is the message, theme, or point of a piece of text. Everything we read has a point therefore everything has a big idea. This can look different for each person because we all have a little bit different background knowledge. We modelled finding the big idea with Frosty the Snowman and then you had to determine the big idea for Rudolph the Red Nose Reindeer.
- Give 5 Fractions that can be found at school.
- Use the 5 Fractions you wrote down and find the equivalent fraction.
(no doubles of the same fraction numbers find different examples)
