Math - Fraction Avenue Assignment due Thursday - tomorrow bring yours to check if you have met the criteria.
Equivalent Fraction Worksheets complete tonight. You should all be working towards becoming expert equivalent fraction students.
L.A. - Typhoon comprehension questions and inferencing due tomorrow first thing. Be sure to read it out loud to an adult tonight. Trust me it will really help improve your written work.
Another reading lesson today with Mr. Lewis to practice those reading strategies. We continued to use the many different reading strategies and messy thinking to help organize our thoughts. First we listen to A Happy Christmas, War is Over by John Lennon then we read the lyrics and finally watched Darius Rucker sing with a children's choir. Many of you were able to push your thinking to a deeper level, synthesize and evaluate your thoughts to determine the 'Big Idea'. This is an awesome strategy to practice and become familiar with as it will help you all become proficient readers. Leave us (Mr. Lewis, Mrs. Jensen, Mr. Hong and myself) some feedback regarding today's lessons. What worked well? What area do you need to improve upon? Did you add to your background knowledge about John Lennon and was it helpful today? What type of feedback is the most helpful? Share something about today's reading lesson.
